LEGO Plans a Virginia Distribution Centre
LEGO plans a distribution centre in Prince George, Virginia. A logistics partner will operate the facility, which is expected to open in 2027.

The LEGO Group plans a regional distribution centre in Prince George, Virginia, with operations expected to begin in 2027. The company announced a USD366 million investment in building and operating the facility on 8 May 2025.
Regional distribution capacity
LEGO has signed a build-to-suit lease with Crosspointe Business Centre, a joint venture between The Silverman Group and Hillwood Investment Properties. The distribution project will complement the factory under construction in nearby Chesterfield County.
A third-party logistics partner will operate the centre, with 305 jobs expected.
Virginia's support for the project
Virginia's announcement identifies the site as 8800 Wells Station Road and records approval of a USD2.53 million Commonwealth's Opportunity Fund grant to help Prince George County with the project.
- Construction is scheduled to start later in 2025, ahead of the planned opening.
- Recruitment and training support is available through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
- The company is eligible for the port's economic and infrastructure development grant programme.
Recruitment and training
The jobs programme offers consulting and funding to help new and expanding businesses recruit and train employees. Eligibility for the separate port programme is described in the announcement; it is not confirmation that a port grant has already been paid.
Company investment
LEGO's annual results, issued on 11 March 2025, reported 2024 revenue of DKK74.3 billion and operating profit of DKK18.7 billion. These increased by 13% and 10%, respectively, from 2023.
The company invested DKK9 billion during 2024, mainly in factories, facilities and offices. Operating cash flow reached DKK19.2 billion, leaving free cash flow of DKK10.2 billion after investment. These are group-wide annual figures, separate from the Virginia project budget.
The family-owned business is headquartered in Billund, Denmark, where Ole Kirk Kristiansen founded it in 1932.
