Schneider Electric Plans a U.S. Manufacturing Expansion
Schneider Electric plans more than $700 million of U.S. investment through 2027. Factory expansions and research facilities form part of the multi-state programme.

Schneider Electric plans to invest more than US$700 million in its United States operations through 2027. Announced on 25 March 2025, the programme covers manufacturing capacity and development facilities serving energy infrastructure, industrial automation and data centres.
A multi-state investment programme
The company expects the programme to create more than 1,000 jobs. Together with US$440 million of investment announced since 2020, the new commitment would bring its announced U.S. investment above US$1 billion for the decade.
Projects involve both existing sites and new facilities. The programme extends across several states, combining additional production space with modernisation and research capacity.
Production and development priorities
- Mt. Juliet, Tennessee: a new facility supporting medium-voltage products.
- Andover, Massachusetts: laboratories for power distribution units and microgrids.
- Columbia, Missouri: additional space for circuit-breaker production.
- Fairfield, Ohio: manufacturing technology and software upgrades.
- El Paso, Texas: expansion of switchgear and power-distribution production.
Expansion in El Paso
The Texas governor's office announced the local expansion on 10 March. The project will modernise and enlarge Schneider Electric USA's existing manufacturing facilities on its El Paso campus, increasing capacity for medium-voltage switchgear used by data centres.
The state announcement identifies 300 expected jobs and a US$1.5 million Texas Enterprise Fund grant extended to the company. Those figures describe the El Paso project within the wider manufacturing programme. The campus already includes a plant whose opening was marked in September 2023.
