Sveza Forms a Digital Packaging Subsidiary

Sveza has established MMPOF Digital Lab LLC in the Leningrad region within its packaging division. The group told Interfax on 22 July 2026 that the business covers cardboard packaging and tubes for souvenirs, food and alcoholic drinks. Digital printing is planned as a future development.

A separate packaging business

The subsidiary is wholly owned by Sveza LLC. According to the group, a separate company should support faster product introductions and a broader packaging range. These are the objectives of the new structure; the announcement does not set a date for starting digital printing.

Building on earlier acquisitions

The group's 2024 sustainability report places packaging within a wider expansion of its paper and paperboard activities. During that year, Sveza acquired businesses making folding-boxboard packaging and specialty paper. It also acquired the Kama paper mill, adding coated folding boxboard and coated paper to its portfolio.

Materials and customer industries

In its account of the Kama acquisition, Sveza identifies several customer industries served by the expanded product portfolio:

• Food manufacturing.
• Pharmaceutical production.
• Printing.

Those acquisitions preceded the formation of Digital Lab. They describe the group's existing packaging base, rather than production equipment newly commissioned by the subsidiary.

Support for product selection

Sveza's corporate website presents a service offering that extends from advice before an order through product customisation to after-sales support. The group describes its activities across wood processing, paper, paperboard and packaging. Its product catalogue also covers plywood applications in construction, furniture and interiors, reflecting the breadth of the parent business beyond the new packaging company.
