Baltimore’s main shipping channel reopened to full commercial transit on 10 June 2024 after clearance work following the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. The reopening restores a maritime access route to a major port in the United States; it is not a report that the replacement road bridge has been completed.

The channel is open at its full dimensions

In a 12 June statement, Maryland’s governor’s office confirmed the reinstatement of the Fort McHenry Federal Channel, 700 feet wide and 50 feet deep. Bridge reconstruction remained a separate task. The collapse on 26 March killed six people.

Those dimensions describe the restored waterway, not a promise concerning the arrival of a particular shipment. A customer’s delivery date still belongs to a specific transport booking. For businesses communicating with suppliers, this distinction prevents a general infrastructure announcement from becoming an unsupported delivery commitment.
