Furniture Factory Construction Advances in Nyagan

Construction of the ULH Mebel furniture factory is progressing in the Nyagan special economic zone in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug—Yugra, Russia. Kommersant reported on 4 September, citing the regional industry department, that the building frame had been aligned and the first roof layer was being installed. Investment in the project exceeds RUB 5 billion.

Utilities and equipment preparation

The update also described floor and base preparation. A water connection was planned by mid-October, alongside preparation of a customs area for equipment arriving from China. These are construction milestones; the report did not announce an operating factory.

A project already in the regional programme

The regional government's report on its work in 2025, issued in 2026, identifies Nyagan as Yugra's first industrial-production special economic zone and ULH Mebel as its first resident. It describes planned furniture production capacity of 2.8 million elements a year. The September construction update therefore concerns an existing development rather than a newly announced factory proposal.

For now, the September account provides a dated view of physical work at the site. It does not establish an opening timetable for the entire factory or a volume of completed sales.
